Fundraising Committee Member
You will be part of a brand new Fundraising Committee. The committee will meet, share ideas, come up with new fundraising strategies and plan and facilitate events.
By taking on this role you can support us in raising valuable funds that will help people in crisis across Kirklees.
We are open Monday - Friday (9-5) with various times available to volunteer, but help at events will usually be needed on weekends irregularly.
Purpose of the role
You will be part of a brand new Fundraising Committee. The committee will meet, share ideas, come up with new fundraising strategies and plan and facilitate events.
By taking on this role you can support us in raising valuable funds that will help people in crisis across Kirklees.
Where you will be located
Huddersfield Mission/Working from Home/Events
The role will typically involve the following tasks
- Brainstorming and coming up with new fundraising ideas.
- Attending events and running stalls.
- Baking or procuring items to sell.
- Supporting the fundraising manager with larger events including ticket sales, on the day support and related admin.
All our Volunteer roles are flexible with hours to suit the volunteer and service
Hours: Adhoc events and a quarterly committee meeting
Start Date: ASAP.

We would welcome skills and experience in the following areas:
- Enthusiasm and the ability to work both independently and in a team.
- An interest in fundraising and events.
- Good interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills.
- Good customer service skills for handling queries and working on stalls.
