Mission Projects The Words cut into the foundation stone of the building say it all : “Dedicated to the Glory of God and the Service of the Needy”. That has been our focus as a worshipping, praying, learning, serving people for over 100 years in the town as the Huddersfield Methodist Mission. We are a Christian community concerned with the well-being and wholeness of all God’s children. The Mission hosts and runs a variety of social action projects in co-operation with many caring agencies and alongside other faith communities. These include - The Mission Café - help, advice and good, inexpensive meals Welcome Centre - Crisis aid to help people get back on their feet C.A.T.  - Computing and Training facility Counselling Surgery - for situations needing a trained counsellor Chaplaincy - Town centre workplaces and Huddersfield University LGBT ministry - mission to those of different genders and sexuality We work especially with the needy and vulnerable of all ages, beliefs, ethnicity, gender and backgrounds in the Huddersfield area. Our commitment is to the Kingdom of God – “on earth as it is in heaven”. We are not only a “Good News” people – but we are especially a "practical Good News” people.
