Loads of fun activities for 8 - 16 year olds. We work for the social inclusion of this age range and their families. We provide a range of educational, social and leisure experiences to reduce  social isolation by helping young people improve basic life skills; provide support and encourage their participation in community activities;  help improve the social and personal circumstances of young people and their families; build up their self confidence, self-esteem and personal  aspirations; support young people in managing their feelings and raising their educational attainment.  We work with families to assess need and signpost them to additional help. We encourage values of citizenship and ownership of this scheme by  the young people; provide opportunities for our volunteers to increase their knowledge and skills. In all this we work in partnership with  statutory and voluntary bodies when necessary and applicable.  IMPORTANT NOTICE Plus Point will be wound up at the end of December 2011 due to lack of grants in the current economic climate in the UK.
