WHAT IS METHODISM? | |||||||
|
The calling of the Methodist Church is to respond to the gospel of God's love in Christ, and to live out its discipleship in worship and mission. Huddersfield Methodist Mission is one of 14 churches within the Huddersfield Penine Circuit. There are fellowships within the town and along the Colne and Holme valleys at Crosland Hill, Gledholt, Golcar, Huddersfield Methodist Mission, Lindley, Linthwaite, Marsden, Mount, Netherton, Newsome, Outlane, Paddock, Parkwood and Slaithwaite. Two of these are ecumenical churches. The Huddersfield Pennine Circuit is, in turn, part of the West Yorkshire District of the Methodist Church. A warm welcome awaits you in the West Yorkshire Methodist District. Stretching approximately 80 miles from north to south and covering an area of some 1400 square miles there is much variety in the mix of urban and rural life. The District is divided into 19 circuits and these split into four geographical areas: Bradford; Calderdale; Kirklees; Craven and the Dales. | |||||||
