The Church affirms the importance of our working lives. Our work-place is often where we spend most of our waking hours. Work not only pays the bills, but affects our sense of self-worth and happiness. An active Town Centre Workplace Chaplaincy is co-ordinated by Methodist Deacon Gill Atkinson-Heck as part of an ecumenical team of volunteers, which covers most of the shops in the town centre. Our purpose is to show God’s love by listening to people’s concerns, offer support in difficult times and point to practical assistance. We seek to encourage understanding and respect for all faiths and offer care for all.CONTACTDeacon Gill Atkinson-HeckHuddersfield Town Centre Chaplaincyc/o Huddersfield Methodist Mission3-13 Lord Street, Huddersfield, HD1 1QATel.
